Levius makes his way down the beach toward the low cliffs at the edge of the bay easly climbing them; He surveys the island. It is very overcast and still blurred by the driving rain but he does make out some details. The island is hilly- very, very hilly. He sees that the highest and most forbidding hills lay to the west and run the entire length of the island from south to north.. Northward is broken terrain, passable but it will not be easy going on the party. Eastward the terrain seems to flatten out a little bit. However, it is still hilly and broken even in that direction. There is no sign of shelter or human communities in any direction. There is not much green to be seen. Except for some common, practically indestructible scrub growth, the island seems to be totally lifeless.

I wait for the rest of the party to arrive and help them up from climbing the cliff.
"It's not looking good for us up here either. I would say head for the high ground either to the West or East. There we may find shelter in the hillsides to get us out of this weather."
I look at them all, my arms huddled near my chest, trying to stay warm. I wait for their responses.

Iados' face goes blank as he stares off into the distance. (Only Iados sees this)Your stomach rumbles and gargles “Gas?” you think. In gets louder and more painful as the minutes roll on. You look down at your stomach and see it undulating and writhing as if some thing is trying to get out. Suddenly you feel a tear and wetness from you postierer. “What the..?!?” You double over in pain as a Gibbering Mouther bursts forth. It looks at you and sneers. You are transfixed by its glare as it begins to consume you.

I follow the Tiefling's gaze and then look back at him.
"You okay?"

I feel the cold biting on my limbs and looks at the young girl and the hobbit. "It's time we leave this vessel and hope our companions have found shelter." I look both gesture and climb out of the hole.

After what seems to take months but in reality only a short while you all gather on the cliffs with Levius. With no clear path in front of you, only knowing you must find shelter you all head out. As you walk along in a depression between two large hills, you become aware of a noise- a very faint noise, like grunting voices and steel clanging on steel, barley audible over the noise of the rain and wind. It seems to be coming from your left, beyond the hill to your left. (you are at "D")

Treading wearily behind Levius, the whispering fingers of wind bring the sounds of steel against steel to Iados' ears. Stopping in his own tracks, his hands clench around his paired clubs as he cocks his head to the left and listens carefully, to learn all he can before taking action.

Idolas shakes his head and puts a finger in his ear as if to clear it out. Nothing new is heard other than the grunting and clanging.

Paela follows the old man, urging the young girl to follow. She follows to were the Levius and Idolas are. She leaves the young girl with the old man and moves to where the tiefling is, seeing him listening for something. She too listens to get a good check of her surroundings.

I look to each of my new acquaintances and then towards the sound. I begin climbing to the top of the hill with my club and before reaching the peak I assume the prone and crawl forward just enough to get a peek over the hill to see what the ruckus is all about.

Cresting the hill Levius sees there are boulders and rocks that provide cover from the sight below. There is a ravine separating this line of hills from the next ridge. And there is a battle going on down there. It looks like a dozen goblins and half a dozen orcs going at it pretty fiercely. The goblins are fighting with bows and spears; the orcs have axes and polearms, and one of them papers to have armor too. Most of the fighters dont have any sort of armor, but all of them have cloaks. About 50 feet behind the line of orcs there’s someone lying in the ravine. It looks like a human male, a white bearded old man wearing tattered robes. He’s lying down, twisted over to watch the fight; his arms are behind his back and look as though they have been tied. As he leans against one of the bigger boulders it seems to shift a little and Levius realizes with a little assistance it will roll free.

No time to discuss a course of action with the rest of my party. Only time to react. I look back and motion the rest of the party to come up but quietly. I get my bearings of the old man's position. I slink back to use the hill as cover towards the old man and then use the rocks to block my line of sight as much as possible to reach the old man, untie him and hopefully have time to shove the boulder before the orcs and goblins have time to react.

Noting Levius' movement, Iados slips his way up onto the same slope Levius had occupied and takes up a position nearly identical to that vacated by his "companion". Taking scope of the battlefield, he attempts to determine why they might be fighting, and if his small group could even attempt to sway the balance

As Levius gets closer to the fighting he sees a line of three orcs is fighting the line of five goblins. Three goblins are standing back behind their line, waiting to step in and fill up a hole if one of their companions falls. The goblins have stationed archers on the ravine slopes, two a few feet up on each slope. Two orcs are hanging back, throwing rocks and knives at the goblin archers and preparing to step in if an orc on the front line falls. One orc stands directly behind the front line, grunting what sounds like orders to the rest. The goblins on and behind the line are carrying spears and have daggers at their belts. The goblins on the slopes have bows, quivers of arrows, and daggers at their belts. The orcs on the line have battle axes. The orcs on the flanks have bardiches, but have leaned them across boulders and are fighting with thrown daggers and rocks. The orc giving orders has padded armor and a bardiche. An Orc on right flank is hit by arrows, one goblin archer on left flank is killed by daggers, one goblin on line felled by an axe blow and a rear goblin steps up to replace him. Levius thinks he will have little trouble sneaking to the old man as the Orcs and Goblins are not paying him any attention. But he will be in danger of being hit by a stray arrow that are flying haphazardy all around.
As Iados stands against a boulder it to shifts a little.

Feeling the boulder shift I study the path in front of it to determine who and what it would smash flat if I were to push it loose
