As you watch an orc on the left flank is struck by an arrow and drops dead while a goblin archer is suddenly implated by daggers and falls too. Surveying the battle field and boulders Iados notices if he pushes just right it will cause a chain reaction and the other boulders will roll straight for the fighting hoard and just barely miss the old man and Levius. Hopefully!

Taking his clubs and setting them up in such a manner to help (hopefully) guide the boulder on the right path, Iados takes up a nearby branch and levers the great boulder out of its millennia-old resting place and sends it tumbling down the hillside at the mob of goblinoids.

I make my way towards the old man in an attempt to release him from bondage, rolling and ducking along the way in attempts to dodge any stray arrow that may come my way.

Levius and Iados The fighting pauses momentarily as the goblins and orcs watch Levius stumble and roll on the ground heading toward the old man. Luckily for Iados it gives him just enough time and distraction to send the boulders crashing down toward the combatants who caught unaware are all crushed beneath the rumble. Levius reaches the old man, but before he has a chance to do anything else the ground begins to shake and lighting crashes all around and the rain, falling fast seems to pick up it’s intensity.
Paela and Gaius On the other side of the hill the wind drives even harder though the small valley. You feel the ground shake and the rain chills you to the bone. “I’m F-F-F-Freezing.” Melisana shivers.
(Everyone takes 1 hp of damage for exposure except for Idolas who has Hafkris’ gear)

Paela is quick after the spectacle to acrobat her way down to the crushed bodies of goblins, searching for loot. a cloak, some boots, anything to escape this cold. She intends to find cloaks enough for her and the young girl, bloody or otherwise. Acrob: 4qT2Hlry1d20+3

Leaping and bounding down the rubble Paela quickly reaches the bodies. Searching them she finds on the Orc who seemed be in charge, padded leather armor. rummaging thru the rest she is able to also find 10 daggers (only 4 are in any type of usable shape) 7 battle axes (2 that are not broken) 8 spears and bows shattered by the boulders and more han enough of vermin infested cloaks that can be used by the party.

I recover myself and look to the old man. I begin to untie him slowly while speaking. While speaking and untying the old man I look around to ensure no other orcs or goblins are coming our way.
"I'm going to let you go okay. My name is Levius Varin. We're not here to hurt you. Do you know where we are? Do you know where we can find food and shelter?"

Iados's face goes blank as he stares off into the driving rain!
(Only Iados sees this)
You begin to question your reality as you have a sudden vision of what you believe to be is someone staring at some type of tablet and pressing something on the bottom as words appear as if by magic. You hear the sound of dice rolling and see your name written down with your strength, constitution, dexterity, wisdom, and intelligence all on display on a piece of parchment. As the person presses the letters and they appear on the tablet you feel yourself do exactly what is written on the magic tablet. You now know you are slipping into some type of madness!

The old man looks at Levius. He is bald, with a matted dirty beard that would be white if washed, he has a pale complexion and wide eyes. “Yes, yes. Thank you, Thank you. I am indebted to you. Come, come I know where there is shelter. Follow me. My name is Keestake. I will tell you all I know. Follow me, lets get out of this strange weather.”

She grabs the leather armor and beats out a cloak to the best of her ability in the rain and throws it over her shoulders. She pockets the usable four dagger and folds three more cloaks under her arm and hurries back to Melisana. "I know its not pretty," she says, wrapping the girl, "but we can clean and dry them over a fire." She's looked to the teifling, huffed, and then to Levius down by the old man. "We must find shelter," she yelled, unaware of what the Old man, who was clearly conscious, and Levius were saying.

Knowing the battlefield would be there tomorrow, I wave at the rest of the party beckoning them to come. I look back to Keestake.
"As soon as the rest of my friends gather we shall leave."

Snapping his jaw shut from his dumbfounded surprise at how absolutely effective his attack had been, Iados clambers down the rocky slope to join with the rest of his party. Seeing that the goblin-kin had already been stripped of anything useful, he ignores the bodies and moves up beside Levius, "I am ready."

After the rest of the party assembles, I look to old man I just freed. I've never felt so desperate.
"This is all of us. Please lead the way Keestake."
I look to the rest of the party.
"I'll take the rear and watch our backs."
I look to the Halfling and notice the ragged cloaks.
"May I?"

Keestake begins to talk “You are the first human faces I’ve seen in more years than I can remember. It’s true. And you wouldn’t know it to look at me now, but in my day, in my day, I was personal groom to himself — to Viledel, the Sea King. Yes, this is the Island of Viledel — you didn’t know that? But himself died when the pirates crushed the island, years and years ago, when my hair was still black and my face unlined. I didn’t fight on the day the pirates came, just hid in an overturned, ruined boat no one looked under, while the murdering and the burning went on day after day. And finally the pirates were all gone, and I’ve been here alone since then. Living in the house of the Sea King, protecting the treasure left behind — for the pirates never found the real goods of Viledel, just some of the trinkets and baubles kept in the manor—and becoming tired and gray. How long has it been? The orcs came a few days ago. They captured me, and said the stories said that the treasure of the Sea King had never been found, which was true enough, I guess. And they said I knew where it was, which was true, too, but I never told them so. The goblins came two days ago. The orc chief and the goblin chief talked, and the goblin chief said they were there to claim he island as their new stronghold, but the orc said they were there for the treasure too, and as soon as he said it the goblins wanted the goods, and there’s been war ever since. The orcs are all set up in the old soldiers’ barracks, and the goblins are all in the old stables, and the manor in the middle is where they hunt around for treasure and fight one another most of the time. But there’s another place, where they went once but leave alone now — the temple of the goddess. It’s on the far side of the hill overlooking the manor, and if you and your friends want to take shelter there, no one will bother with you.”
