After doing what I can, I realize the old man that was with us had a good point. Food we can survive a day or two without but water was essential and sticking our tongues out in the rain wouldn't do the trick. I look to Keestake.
"How have you survived here so long among these orcs and goblins? Surely you must have found a way to parch your thirst and keep yourself fed. Is there a well nearby and possibly wild game we could hunt or a garden of some sorts nearby?"

“Yes, water come follow me there is a well and garden that is growing wild right outside. Come.” He gets up from the fire and opens the door on the north end of the room (s,11 on map)

Gaius grunted, the weary nature of his older bones almost stopping him. He pushed on though, bones cracking with little pops as he did. "I'm much to old for this some days," he muttered to himself. While he waited for the rest of the group to follow Keestake his eyes were drawn to the ruined fresco. The temple must have been something when it was active, he thought, so much work and time put into the art of this divinity.... He walked over, admiring, as he was once a painter-in his own hermit way.
Paela circled the room and then came to a stop by Keestake when he motioned for them to follow. She drew her dagger, ready for a fight, if one waited outside.

I assume my position, with dagger in hand, to the back of the group to cover the flank.

Keestake opens the door into a hall way and immediately opens another door on the north wall that leads outside. You see this was once a nicely planted and kept garden. Now, 60 years later, it’s a small jungle of overgrown flowering plants and vegetables. The stones which made up the path through it are broken or covered over. To the left you also see in the garden is a small well. The water in it is good; Keestake has used it all these years. A worn path leads from the well, through the garden and into the distance. (you are at N,10)

She glances to Keestake and with a sigh, she steps out into the "garden". She kept an ear out for heavy foot steps and cracking branches-danger was always about- and set to work cutting some fruit down with her dagger. "We should take only what we know we can eat," she reminded.
Gauis followed out and walked to the well. "Now all we need is some sort of bucket. It wouldn't do well for us to just lick at this dogs." He gave a quick swept of the area before asking Paela to search. Her small body could easily maneuver in the underbrush of this garden. She traded the fruit with him and went about searching. If she could not find it here she would search elsewhere.

As Paela searches in vain, Gauis looks near the well and quickly discovers a small wooden bucket that will hold enough to water for you all to drink. While you are gathering these supplies the wind continues to howl and the rain beats down harder. The sky grows dark as the night settles in, it has been a very long day.

I drink much of the water to satisfy my thirst but pick just enough to eat so that I do not die of starvation. No telling how much of this garden is left but best to use sparingly. I stand guard as the others finish.

Following the party out into the garden, Iados accept the pail as it is passed around and drinks deeply of the slightly brackish but cool water. Feeling refreshed, he cuts down a few pieces of fruit and hungrily begins to eat. Keeping his dagger nearby, Iados lets his eyes wander across the area keeping watch even as he fills his belly.

She makes sure the young girl has something to eat and drink before settling down, dagger at the ready also. "Where do we go from here," she asked, curious," we only know Levius name and no idea where we are-atleast I dont. My names Paela, by the way."
"Gaius," the hermit introduced. Eating and sipping from the bucket and eating his fill.

I look to Melisana and remember my word. I answer Paela with a smile.
"Home"
With a glance towards each party member I finish my statement.
"We can either work together to achieve this goal or go our separate ways. I'd rather we stick together."
I end my statement with a friendly smile at Melisana.

Iados snorts, looking up from his meager meal, "Home is an illusion, a deception of your mind desiring safety. Power is the only thing that will keep you safe in this world. The power of magic, of the sword, of fear it matters not. It is the only true thing that can be relied upon in this world."
Looking directly into the eyes of each of his companions, Iados declares, "I, Iados, will not fight for so vain a hope as 'Home.' Power, on the other hand, is something quite different. For that, I will indeed join forces with you."

"That's fine too," Paela said, a bit lack-luster before she turned back to drinking from the bucket that was being passed around. "You know what I could really use," she said, staring wistfully into the overgrown garden, "...Old Toby."
"Besides wistful dreaming," Gaius interrupted, "there has to be a way off this island-found or created."

I stare a bit at the Tiefling. My very first encounter with one and he's already playing up to the stereotype I've heard so much about. Guess that's how it was going to be. I wait till everyone gets what they need from the garden.
"Let's make our way back to the fire then and get some well deserved rest. We can figure out what exactly to do tomorrow. I highly suggest a guard rotation as well. I'll take the mid shift."

Stomachs full and thirst quenched you all make your way back to the fire. Melisana quickly falls asleep exhausted from the day. After setting the nights watch you all quickly join her. The night starts to pass uneventfully until Giaus takes watch. While the others are sleeping he beholds a wondrous sight. The rotten tapestries that are hanging begin to look new and slowly open. The walls that were covered in filth slowly seem to clean. A broken state that was behind the tapestries begins to pull itself together. It stands and looks at Gaius and says “Mortal man, why have you and your companions come to my Temple?” Gaius looks around and see the other still sleeping with no sign they have heard anything.
